The upstairs living room

The room under the roof, the stove at one end

Under the roof, the upstairs living room looks through steel windows onto the valley and the lawn with its fire circle, with a stove at one end.

It is a room for music as much as for rest: an upright piano, a keyboard and its amplifier, a turntable and records filed in open cubes, beside a long velvet sofa and a daybed under the window. The mezzanine hangs above it.
