Bathrooms

We renovated four bathrooms.

Master bathroom, villa in Greti. Total renovation: union of two bathrooms to create a single, larger one. Renovation of the screed for the installation of a low thickness, radiant floor, with porcelain stoneware flooring. Design and construction of a wall in galvanized iron and antiqued mirror, partly container, with Italian cypress interior. Design and construction of the mirror cabinet above the sink, also in galvanized iron. Design of the cladding of the walls and niches, using tiles of different sizes and shapes. Park Avenue sanitary ware, Viabizzuno technical and decorative lighting.

Terracotta laid in herringbone runs up to a shower cut into marble beside the window. The vessel basin stands on a tiled plinth, with brass taps set into the plaster behind it and an oval mirror between two wall lights.

A small bathroom downstairs, serving the living and dining rooms rather than any bedroom. Wall-hung basin, a gilt mirror kept from the house, and nothing else that did not need to be there.

The master bathroom is the heart of the flat and the clearest statement of its idea: white Carrara marble throughout, in three textures — spaghetto, cotton and smooth — so that the same stone changes as it moves from wall to floor to shelf. The floor is laid in herringbone and runs on into the walk-in shower, drained by a single line cut flush into the marble.

Small, and not shy. A console of strongly veined marble, its basin carved into the stone, stands on bronze legs against a printed wallpaper; a brass tap and a brass rail finish it.

Master bathroom, apartment in Florence. Total renovation: enlargement of the original space to allow the inclusion of a large walk-in shower and a 2.40m marble, single block sink. “Street” sink in Nero Marquinia marble and mirror - Antonio Lupi. Radomonti taps. Adjustable technical lighting - 5 different switches/zones allow the creation of different lighting effects and moods. Geberit smart toilet, IC Flos decorative lighting.

Two basins stand on a fluted green vanity, each with its own mirror and lights. Beside them the shower is lined in marble, lit through a window screened by perforated brick.

Bathroom with view of the Duomo of Florence, office, apartment in Florence. Tuscan-inspired materials, Rosso Lepanto and Breccia Medicea marbles - FMG Maxfine. Custom-designed and made storage unit in ribbed wood, with tobacco-stained oak finish. Metal elements (taps and frames) in bronze PVD finish - Radomonte. Sink, mirror and Japanese bathtub - Antonio Lupi. Light switches in diamond black finish - PLH. Technical lighting with trimless recessed spotlights and LED light grooves. FLOS IC suspensions.

A small service room given the same care as the rest: a white marble top over fluted timber, brass taps, two opal globes against dark stone.

The vanity is built from reclaimed timber, its doors worked in a diamond pattern, under a marble top. Beside it, a freestanding bath sits below a latticed window, with its tap standing on the floor.
