Master bathroom

The master bathroom is the heart of the flat and the clearest statement of its idea: white Carrara marble throughout, in three textures — spaghetto, cotton and smooth — so that the same stone changes as it moves from wall to floor to shelf. The floor is laid in herringbone and runs on into the walk-in shower, drained by a single line cut flush into the marble.

Against the white, fluted walnut: a vanity made to measure, with a stone basin on its marble top, under a backlit oval mirror and globes of opal glass. The taps are Radomonte’s Dixi, in steel with a brushed PVD Carbon finish — a wall-mounted mixer over the basin and a recessed thermostatic shower — dark against the stone. The marble is Salvatori’s, the walnut joinery SM Falegnameria’s, the switches PLH.
