The brief

An apartment in the Oltrarno, in the Santo Spirito quarter, with something rare in the centre of Florence: a terrace of 140 m², open to the sky among the rooftops.

Outside, I dressed the whole terrace. I designed the planters, in rusted copper and stainless steel, and how they stand across it; Massimo Cecconi made them. The bioclimatic pergola was made to measure, and the four weights at the foot of its columns are mine too.

Inside, I took care of the lighting, technical and decorative, and made two new rooms one above the other: a translucent closet room on the mezzanine and a home office underneath it.
